Solar-powered roller shutters

Two integrated solar panels power the motor, so no cables and no plug socket are needed.

Installation

No cables, no socket, no structural work

The two discreetly integrated solar panels collect the energy that powers the motor. No wiring needs to run to the window, and there is no need for a socket nearby. That is precisely where renovations tend to come unstuck: the windows are already in place, and running a cable means opening up walls.

The entire installation takes place on the outside of the house, so you do not even need to be at home for it.

How it works

Keeps working even when the sun stays away

The obvious question with a solar-powered roller shutter is what happens in November. That is what the 4 Ah battery is for. Together with the two panels, that capacity is more than enough to keep operating the shutter through dark spells, and that is no needless luxury: you use a roller shutter just as much in winter as in summer.

There are two variants. SolarBox has classic slats and blacks out completely. SolarFuse has Fusion slats with micro-perforations, letting in up to four times more daylight while you keep the view outside.

Finish

Panels you barely notice

The solar panels sit fully recessed in the profile on the underside of the box. Combined with the square box, that gives the façade a clean look. How far you blend it all in is up to you.

With Standard, we coat the profile holding the panels in the same colour as the box and the guide rails, with the panels on the left and right or both on the same side. Black Belt gives the underside of the profile the colour of the panels themselves, creating a continuous black band. And with Colour, we subtly print the panels in the colour of the box, so the whole blends into the rest of the window construction.
